Day 1 – Board Train from Howrah/Sealdah /Shalimar for Puri. (Overnight Journey In Train)
Day 1 – Shri. Jagannath Temple Visit.
Upon your arrival in this serene coastal town, check into your comfortable hotel. After breakfast begin your day with a visit to the revered Jagannath Temple, one of India’s Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Seek blessings and marvel at the temple’s intricate architecture and spiritual aura. Afternoon: Back to hotel. In the evening stroll along the golden sands of Puri Beach, dip your toes in the cool waters, and soak in the breathtaking views of the Bay of Bengal.
Day 2 – Puri (Bhubaneswar Sight Seeing)
Start your day early from Puri and head to Dhauli Giri Shanti Stupa. Explore the Dhauli Shanti Stupa, a symbol of peace and the transformation of Emperor Ashoka after the Kalinga War. Admire the serene surroundings, Ashokan rock edicts, and the breathtaking views of the Daya River. After breakfast proceed towards the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon after lunch proceed to the renowned Nandankanan Zoological Park, home to diverse flora and fauna. In the evening return to Golden Beach, a Blue Flag-certified beach in Puri. Enjoy the tranquil waves, clean sands, and the calm ambiance. Option for a light snack or coconut water while relaxing on the shore.
Day 3– Excursion to Chilika (Optional)
Begin your day early with a scenic drive from Puri to Chilika Lake. Enjoy views of lush green fields and rustic Odisha villages along the way. Stop at Alarnath Temple (Optional) quick detour to Alarnath Temple in Brahmagiri, a sacred and historic site, revered by Lord Jagannath devotees. Reach Satapada, the gateway to the vast Chilika Lake, Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon and have your breakfast. After breakfast embark on a memorable boat ride to: Kalijai Island – Visit the famous Kalijai Temple dedicated to the goddess Kalijai. Sea Mouth (Chilika’s confluence with the Bay of Bengal) – Spot playful dolphins and enjoy serene views of the lake meeting the sea. Nalaban Bird Sanctuary (seasonal) – Witness migratory birds, including flamingos and pelicans (best between October and March). After Lunch visit this artist’s village known for its traditional Pattachitra paintings and other crafts. Interact with artisans. pick up souvenirs and drive back to Puri in the evening.
Day 4 : Puri Local Sightseeing, and enjoy beach side weather with your friends and family.
Day 5– Trip Ends With Sweet Memories
After breakfast, explore the local market for unique handicrafts and traditional Puri sweets like khaja. or you can stroll around the beaches. In the afternoon have lunch and rest in the hotel. Evening: Check out from the hotel and board the train for Howrah/Sealdah/Shalimar.
